Privacy Policy

DecaLive is built for students, so we collect as little as we can and keep it private. Here is exactly what happens to your data.

Last updated October 1, 2026

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email and sign-in method.
  • Your work: papers, decks, role-play answers and the reports we generate from them.
  • Profile choices: your events, chapter and season.
  • Billing: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
  • Basic usage data: error logs and aggregate analytics needed to keep the service working.

How we use it

To grade your work, show your reports, run your account and billing, keep the service secure and fix problems. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your uploads to train AI models.

Who processes it

We use a small set of providers to run the service:

  • Supabase for the database, sign-in and private file storage.
  • Vercel and Railway for hosting.
  • Stripe for payments.
  • AI model providers, which receive your submitted work solely to produce your feedback under terms that prohibit training on it.

Retention and deletion

You can delete a project at any time, which removes its files, extracted text, reports and practice sessions within 24 hours. Deleting your account removes everything. Billing records may be kept as required by law.

Students and minors

DecaLive is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data. Only you, and an advisor you choose to share with, can see your projects. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, files live in private storage, and access is enforced per user. See our security page for more.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export or delete your data at any time, from your account or by emailing us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, and we will honor them.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a meaningful way we will tell you before it takes effect. Questions? Email classval.help@gmail.com.
